Job Description:

The MayaTech Corporation seeks a Senior Technical/Research Associate to provide project management and coordination, technical assistance, quality assurance, and research support on activities and deliverables for publicly and privately funded projects. Job Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilties include:

  • Develops, plans and administers project or study guidelines
    Prepares technical procedures
  • Determines methods, resources and personnel needed to meet project requirements
  • Prepares reports of completed projects for publication in technical journals, for presentation to client agency requesting project, and/or for use in further applied or theoretical research activities
  • Conducts research, utilizing institution library, online applications, archives, and collections, and other sources of information, to collect, record, analyze, and evaluate facts
  • Coordinates technical assistance requests from Federal clients, grantees and other clients
  • Provides training and technical assistance support to Federal clients, grantees and other clients
  • Performs site visits to grantees
  • Engages subject matter experts for TA provision
  • Provides input on development of TA curriculum
  • Reviews consultant summary report for content and quality
  • Provides coordination/management of grantee meeting planning and implementation
  • Develops grantee meeting and conference agenda with client
    Coordinates activities with conference and logistical planning staff
  • Drafts conference budget and staffing plan
  • Reviews conference presentations for content and quality
  • Responds to client information requests
  • Designates task assignments to team members
  • Develops materials, protocols, codebooks, data feedback reports, executive summaries, and creates data reporting, and fact sheets
  • Provides day-to-day management/oversight of activities conducted by technical associates and technical assistants
  • Coordinates and implements quantitative and/or qualitative research and analysis
  • Contributes to preparation of business development plan for program area
  • Supports bid and proposal process through coordination and RFP text contributions
  • Attends appropriate company trainings and informal workgroups to enhance professional development
  • Attends external trainings, conferences, and workshops as appropriate to enhance professional development
  • Plans, develops, and/or directs qualitative and/or quantitative research and evaluation studies
  • Conducts qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of data
  • Develops qualitative and/or quantitative data collection instruments, protocols, and methodologies
  • Provides research and evaluation direction and guidance to Research Associates and Research Assistants
  • Contributing to business development activities including serving as the lead for proposal section development
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in public health or similar field (years experience in the field will be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.)
  • Background in public health and/or social sciences recommended
  • Subject area concentration and experience in HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, criminal justice, adolescent health, maternal and child health, women’s health, minority health or other special populations required
  • 1-2 years of project management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related content experience
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines
