Maternal and Child Health
MayaTech staff are acutely aware of the challenges and the health needs of parents and their children. This knowledge comes from our professional experience, gained by completing needs assessments and by providing technical assistance to these communities on a broad variety of maternal and child health issues, including fathering. It also comes from personal experience—a number of staffers grew up in similar communities, work as volunteers, or serve on boards for programs that provide maternal and child health services to high-risk populations.
Projects include:
- Evaluation of the Pathways to Prevention Program of the Early Head Start National Resource Center (EHS NRC) @ ZERO TO THREE
- Technical Assistance to Healthy Start Grantees
- Technical Assistance to the Detroit Healthy Start Project
