Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What process will be used for reviewing session proposals?
A subcommittee of the program committee will recruit reviewers and each proposal will be reviewed and rated by two or more reviewers. After the reviews, the program committee will use the reviewers' ratings and comments to make final decisions about which proposals to accept. The sessions will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Is it applied (this includes presentations designed to bridge the gap between science and practice)?
- Is it evidence-based (based on data derived from a study)?
- Does it provide perspectives on important aspects of clinical practice?
- Does it provide implementation or quality assurance tips and procedures (how-to presentations)?
The committee will also try to have a balance on the agenda among presentations that address the use of different substances, in different settings, with different clinical populations.
