Guidelines for Presenters
Poster Presentations
Poster Assignments and Installations
Poster exhibitors will be assigned a specific day and time to display their poster presentation. This information will be sent to exhibitors in a notification e-mail. The notification e-mail will include a poster number assignment that will correspond with a location in the exhibition area where the poster will be displayed.
Poster exhibitors are responsible for mounting and removing their own posters. Specialized poster-boards and pins will be provided. JMATE will not be responsible for posters that are not removed at the appointed time.
Poster Award
JMATE will recognize the poster that best reflects efforts to move the field towards evidence-based practice related to adolescent substance abuse treatment. When designing your poster, you may want to consider the JMATE poster award criteria.
Poster Discussions
Poster exhibitors are requested to be present at their posters to answer questions at the times assigned in the notification e-mail.
PowerPoint Presentations
PowerPoint Presentation Check-In and Upload
All presenters who will be using PowerPoint slides must submit electronic copies of their presentations to The MayaTech Corporation. MayaTech will work with the IT technicians to ensure that all presentations are properly loaded and ready for presentation on the day of the session.
Bring your presentation on a USB memory stick (pen drive), CD-ROM, or floppy disk to the MayaTech Information/Registration Desk. Make sure you also have a paper copy of the presentation with you. At the MayaTech Information/Registration Desk, an assistant will help you preview your presentation to ensure that it displays properly. Your presentation will then be uploaded to the session room network and will be made available in the session room at the time of your presentation.
Session Room Equipment
All session rooms will have a similar technical setup and contain the same basic equipment:
- Stage containing a lectern and a table with chairs for the presenters
- Computer running MS PowerPoint 2003
- A screen for displaying the PowerPoint presentation
- Microphone at the lectern.
