MayaTech's Work
The MayaTech Corporation provides services through the coordinated operations of three divisions: Research and Evaluation, Information and Communications, and World Development. Our support services are focused primarily in the health, education, and international development arenas.
The Research and Evaluation Division designs, conducts, and evaluates large-scale programs and policies intended for application in the general society. Our professional and technical services support the health and biomedical research goals of client organizations, including public health agencies, managed care firms, community-based organizations, corporations, and academic institutions. This division comprises three centers:
Center for Health Policy and Legislative Analysis—offering legislative and policy surveillance, research, and analysis; trend monitoring; feasibility studies; database management; print and electronic products; electronic reporting; and technical assistance.
Center for Technical Assistance, Training, and Research Support—providing services in program planning, implementation, and evaluation; training and skills development; data collection, management, and analysis; grantee and "customer" reporting; and information dissemination.
Center for Community Prevention and Treatment Research—conducting applied social research and providing technical assistance for community-based prevention and treatment of public health issues.
The Information and Communications Division provides a range of conference management, logistics support, and administrative services; material development and production; and information systems technology and application services designed to promote and communicate our clients' programmatic objectives and business functions while enhancing the efficiency of organizational operations. This division comprises the following units:
Conference, Logistics, and Administrative Services—providing professional conference management services in meeting planning and development, site and facility selection, registration coordination and management, materials development and production, travel logistics, on-site staffing, participant and VIP liaison, budget and finance management, close-out and follow-up activities, and general administrative and clerical support for both short-term and extended client operations.
Center for Communications and Marketing—specializing in document and materials planning and design; medical, science, and general technical writing and editing; subject matter research; editorial support (including updating and revising existing materials), proofreading, and indexing; correspondence; print outsourcing, graphic design, and production; and Web site development.
Information Systems Technology Applications—offering expertise in systems development, training and user support, database management and data analysis, Internet services, application development, and hardware and network support.
The World Development Division provides international governments, businesses, institutions, and donor agencies with business development solutions, policy analysis and evaluation, and statistical research services. The World Development Division emphasizes enterprise solutions to development challenges and offers the analysis, advice, and technical skills necessary for business development, health promotion, and educational advancement.
